The noise made it impossible to get much rest, with loud sounds going until around 1 am and starting up again at 4 am. The room was also very bright because the door had an unnecessary window, and the sauna was broken. We do NOT recommend staying here. The room was dirty, very outdated and poorly maintained. For around 150 USD, the quality fell far below what we think is reasonable, and the room was nowhere near worth that price. The hotel looked run down and visibly lacked maintenance. We were also told at check-in that the online price of UYU 5’771 was “too low,” and it was raised to UYU 6’000. Having the confirmed rate changed on arrival left a very bitter impression. It felt unprofessional and unnecessary. Hotels should carefully manage the prices they publish online. Overall, the property offered poor value and fell short on basic cleanliness, transparency and comfort.

The customer service made our stay comfortable, and they even went the extra mile by putting fans in the rooms to make up for the lack of air conditioning. The place has a unique, charming feel and fantastic ocean views. It could use some remodeling and AC, but it was a truly authentic experience.

The beach has lots of space and nature, and you should visit Mar restaurant. This is a relaxed seaside town, Uruguay at its best. The main street has no sidewalks, so people walk among the cars.

I spent a lovely week in a fully equipped appart-hotel just 100m from an amazing beach. The team was friendly, welcoming and attentive. I definitely recommend it.
