Alfa Suites

Avoid this place. The hotel charged me twice, claiming the Hotels.com payment hadn't arrived even though the money had been taken and I showed them the confirmation. They wouldn't let me stay until I paid again. They promised to sort it out right away, but it's been three weeks and they're not replying.

After my booking was cancelled, I tried to reserve the same dates again, only to be told the hotel was fully booked. They had said the card I provided was not accepted, despite my having supplied both Visa and Mastercard with enough funds. I've booked hundreds of hotels through the same platform, including in other countries with those same cards, and never had this kind of problem before. I suspect they overbooked and cancelled some stays. I sent several messages and emails afterward and got no reply.

For a bus transfer, this is a good spot, close to the Central Bus Station, a mall, supermarkets and plenty of restaurants. The hotel was very clean, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Facilities were good, though they have a vintage feel, especially the bathroom, which seemed straight out of 1998.

I booked this as a last-minute walk-in for one night and didn't have time to try breakfast. The location, right across from the bus station, was the main reason I'd stay here again. Check-in was easy, the staff helped me, the bed was comfortable, and the shower got nice and hot. Wifi worked well on my phone. There were a few annoyances: the bedside light was broken, so I slept with the lights on, I found a hair on the shower wall, and the elevators were slow. There wasn't an outlet by the bed either, though that was only a minor inconvenience.
