The bed was comfortable, and I’d definitely stay again. The front desk was wonderful, and I liked the cafe and bar. One thing, the cleaning staff next door were extremely loud while I was asleep, banging the connecting-room door as they cleaned. Thanks to the team at the desk for being so helpful.

The location worked well, with everything just a few minutes away on foot, and the neighborhood was very quiet. I especially liked the noon check-in and checkout, which was perfect after arriving early from Buenos Aires. Check-in was quick and pleasant, and breakfast was good. I was glad to finally get a savory breakfast. The only issue was some dirt in our room, including red dots on the bed.

I booked early and paid half of the posted rate of a hundred a night. At that price it was okay, but I’d have felt robbed at full price. The location is great, and I don’t mind a small room, but business travelers need somewhere to hang shirts, suits, and trousers. Breakfast was below par, staff forgot towels one night, and one elevator was out of order for a couple of days.

The service was good, and breakfast had a great selection with seats outside. There are good restaurants nearby too. It’s a lovely beachfront spot, right across from the beachfront esplanade. We had a great stay in Montivideo.

The rooms are small by European standards, but they worked fine since we were out most of the time. The location is excellent, the restaurant is good, and breakfast is passable. What really makes the place feel like home away from home is the staff and their exceptional service.
