The place was cute, clean, and felt safe, with a big backyard and a decent location. Staff and fellow guests were all really friendly, and the staff even put on a BBQ one night for everyone. The price felt a little high for a 6- or 8-bed dorm, especially with no breakfast included.

The people you meet here are what make this hostel so good. It has a cozy common room, a great kitchen, and a backyard, and it’s within walking distance of the bus station, laundries, ATMs, and supermarkets. The staff are lovely and helpful, with tips about Montevideo and traveling elsewhere in South America too.

After five months traveling around South America, this is the best hostel I’ve stayed at. Mati and Andres are wonderful hosts, and the atmosphere has a great mix of cultures coming together. It really feels like a place you want to live in.

It’s a small, relaxed place with just 18 beds, set in a beautiful old building. You can walk to la rambla and the bus station at tres cruces, and there’s an excellent empanada spot nearby called Pancho villa.

The asado was the best part, and the staff were nice. It’s well located too. I’d say it’s the best hostel in Montevideo and one of the best I’ve stayed in anywhere. Definitely worth it.
