The staff were friendly and attentive, and room service was great. The room was clean. Breakfast was mostly sweets and carbs, and some items tasted stale, as if they'd been left out for hours or reused from the day before. There were flies around the food, too. We first stayed for one night in room 3. The shower head was rusty and sprayed everywhere, the tile was cracked and open, and the bathroom smelled damp, so we had to keep its door shut. We came back three days later for four more nights, since the reservation was already booked and couldn't be canceled. The new room was much better, with a closet and a bathroom in better condition. Its shower head still sprayed water everywhere, but they fixed it the next day. The AC wasn't cooling either, and that was fixed the following day.

I've stayed here several times before without trouble, but this credit card problem seems new and part of their system. I had four reservations canceled, first through Expedia and then through Booking, despite the reservation being for $0 and the hotel insisting I'd only pay on arrival. They don't call to tell you, so you may not even notice the cancellation. They blamed Expedia. I suspect they may have changed the system to avoid Expedia's percentage, but that's just my guess. Apparently, American cards are being rejected as debit cards. I was fortunate to have a Uruguayan credit card, but shouldn't have to use one just because their system is having trouble with American cards. If I hadn't stayed there before, the frustration of making reservation after reservation would probably have made me give up and go elsewhere.

Woo, I loved it! For the price, you get a lot: rooftop pool, ocean view, little gym, and a big outdoor patio. The included breakfast was generous, the Wi-Fi fast, and the staff kind and bilingual. There's free parking too. Great spot to enjoy a cold brew. Recommended.

The rooms were clean and the staff were friendly, with excellent service. The place is clearly not new, but it has a street-side terrace where we sat at night with wine and food from the huge supermarket next door. The beach is only 300 meters away, with several kilometers of sand and hardly anyone around. A great place for a couple of nights near the Montevideo airport. For a longer stay, I'd choose somewhere closer to the city.
