Palladium Business Hotel

The pool and gym were the only parts I thought were decent, and breakfast was good too. The location is pretty good, but the rooms are mediocre, there’s no microwave, and the outlets don’t hold adapters properly. Cleaning wasn’t great either. Food after breakfast was terrible. They also charge a foreigner fee for stays longer than five days. I’d give the place a 2, with plenty of better options around.

I had a very good stay. The room was nice, housekeeping kept it clean, and the view from the window was lovely.

I’m from this area but hadn’t been back in 36 years, and I’m glad I chose Palladium. My friends and family could visit and enjoy the amenities with me, and I’d definitely stay again. The mall and shops are handy, the beach is right across the street, and the rooftop pool has a splendid view. I enjoyed the food, from hors d'oeuvres and main dishes to cocktails. For a four-star hotel, the drinks at the bar and in the lobby weren’t badly priced. Agustin was a pleasure to deal with and went above and beyond to solve problems and make my stay what I wanted. The bar gentleman and the hotel housekeepers deserve a shout-out too, especially the ladies who cleaned. They work hard and it doesn’t go unnoticed. Most of the A.M. front desk staff answered all my questions before and after my stay. The hotel is in an old building that’s been renovated, and I thought it was pretty clean. Some of the things they do might surprise you, but they’re for security. There are a few homeless people and addicts nearby, though nobody bothered me, and it wasn’t anything out of the ordinary for other places. I’d rate the stay four stars. It would’ve been five if I hadn’t had a little bump with a front desk employee on my last day. Some staff are rough around the edges and need more hospitality training. After more than 20 years in hospitality, I can see a few things they could improve to earn that extra star. Agustin deserves a raise, as we say in the U.S.A., you reap what you sow. The staff were always helpful and dedicated, and the room was cleaned every day. It’s in a quiet, peaceful neighborhood, with a decent range of facilities. The room wasn’t perfect, with a loose wall outlet and some odd smells in a few places, but I still think it’s worth the price.
