Pocitos Plaza Hotel

I liked the café, and the place has a charming feel. My room was neat and perfectly fine, and the staff were nice.

We found plenty of restaurants and grocery stores within walking distance, and the hotel is only a block from the seafront. The rooms are roomy and comfortable, with quiet air conditioning and a fridge. The bathroom had good space, lots of hot water, and strong pressure. Breakfast was enjoyable, though I would've liked more fresh fruit. The gym was clean and kept up well, but could use a decent set of dumbbells. Reception is staffed around the clock, and everyone we met was friendly and helpful, day or night. I had a great stay and would gladly come back.

The location was peaceful at night, and la Rambla is close enough for a run if the gym isn't what you're after. Everything was clean, including the rooms, and the regular cleaning was excellent. The staff were courteous and helpful. A lovely hotel with what you need.

The location worked well, with lots of restaurants nearby, a safe-feeling area, and the coast just two blocks away. Downtown and the port are much farther, about an hour on foot. Parking is tight too, really only suitable for small cars, and fitting in would take a very good driver if you want to avoid scratches. I don't agree that this is a four-star hotel. Three stars at most. The bathroom was okay, and although the old decor was clean, the shower wasn't cleaned properly on repeated nights. I found my hair from the previous night on the walls, and one towel still had old stains, so it hadn't been washed well. The staff weren't friendly and blamed coworkers when problems came up. On vacation, I don't want to hear about the hotel's internal communication process. The manager was on PTO, so nobody took charge. I got his card to complain after my stay, which made no sense. At checkout, I asked to see the posnet so I could check the amount before putting my card in. The man took offense and said I wasn't in Argentina, so I wouldn't be robbed. I'm from Argentina, and I definitely won't return.
