Javier and Carlos made us feel welcome during both lunch and dinner. They were warm, charming, and professional, and took such good care of us. We also got complimentary cookies and, on our first day, vouchers for free drinks. The carrot and orange juice was fresh and delicious. The food was excellent and tasted fresh. We had fish with pumpkin, pumpkin purée with lentils, and wonderful empanadas, warm and savory like homemade pastries. The ingredients really stood out. The atmosphere was pleasant, too. We enjoyed our time here and would happily come back. Highly recommended!

I usually steer clear of hotel restaurants, but this one was a great surprise. The food was very good, and Valentin and Carlos went out of their way to help. The staff were wonderful, and the whole experience was terrific. The hotel has about forty rooms and sits neatly tucked away in Pocitos, just a couple of minutes’ walk from the beach. A cosy little find, and one I’d happily return to.

Tomás had great food and service. The morning wait staff were a friendly group, and Valentin looked after us in the evening. The hotel’s in a great location, with a drop-off space out front that worked well for our drivers. Our room was modern and very clean, and the staff were friendly.

The staff made our first visit to South America feel comfortable and welcoming. We had only one Spanish speaker in our group, but communicating was easy, and this is a stay we’ll talk about for a long time. I’d absolutely come back and recommend the hotel to anyone visiting Montevideo. The location was a big part of the appeal. It’s in a very safe neighborhood, one block from the beach and La Rambla. We took a long, scenic walk along the waterfront into town and found the area easy to explore. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, and the hotel was spotless. After a long day walking, the rooftop jacuzzi was perfect. The gym had good equipment for a mid-vacation workout. At the restaurant, Rodrigo was patient and friendly, with excellent suggestions from the menu. He even brought us mate to try at the end of dinner, a thoughtful touch. On our first night, the restaurant was closed to guests for a private event. Alejandro at the front desk suggested La Otra around the corner, and it turned out to be one of our favorite meals of the trip. We ate at the hotel the next day, and Rodrigo’s recommendations were spot on. Alejandro was incredible at reception. When we arrived, he was helping a 95-year-old solo traveler who didn’t speak Spanish, assisting with bags and making sure he was comfortable. The lobby filled up with other arrivals, but Alejandro got everyone checked in quickly and warmly. He was helpful throughout our stay. We mentioned wanting to use the rooftop hot tub while it was locked, then went on a quick errand. When we got back, he’d unlocked the door and removed the cover so it was ready for us.
