The river views from the terrace are lovely, and the main hotel spaces have a rustic, thoughtfully designed feel. The gym, bikes, and pool room are nice extras, though the table isn’t properly sized for a standard game with regular cues. The rooms are fine, but don’t feel worth the price. At a minimum spend of $50 USD per person, the food was still disappointing: even basic things like cleaning shrimp properly and salting pasta were missed. Service and attention to detail also fell short of what I’d expect at this price. I’d hope the hotel keeps the same standards in low season, but if not, I wouldn’t recommend visiting outside summer, assuming high season is better.

The river views are hard to match, and the rooms are beautiful. We also had great food and warm, efficient service. This is the best hotel in the area by far; the former Four Seasons, now a Hyatt, doesn’t come close. They also own a nearby winery that’s worth a visit.
