The room itself was clean and attractive, and one staff member was especially helpful, so I do want to thank them. I booked at the last minute because there weren’t many options, then was quoted about 60 SGD for two nights, around $48 USD, plus GST. When I came back the next day, staff said I’d been undercharged and that one night actually cost $50 USD. They also said no hotel charges less than $50 per night. I’d spent roughly $60 USD for two nights in Khiva, so the difference stood out. It seems only the manager can confirm prices, and staff should be told the details before speaking with guests. Evening staff availability could also be better, especially around check-in. I waited under 15 minutes.

We booked 45 days ahead, then the hotel started sending cancellation requests through Booking.com just 20 days before we were due to arrive, saying there were “internal issues.” I believe that was a pretext to cancel our booking and charge more, because the same room went up by 150% after they pushed us to cancel. This feels like a scam and is unacceptable. I’ve already reported the hotel to Booking.com. I wouldn’t trust it, especially if traveling as a family or a woman alone. In my view, it isn’t reliable or safe.

The rooms have their own distinctive decor, and the staff were very friendly. It’s a small, beautiful, cozy hotel tucked into a quiet alley close to Buchara’s main attractions. The place has an authentic feel.

Interesting decorations give the rooms character, and the pillows and beds were comfortable. The hotel is right in the middle of the old town.
