Grand Ark Bukhara

The pool was amazing for taking a break during a hot summer day in Bukhara, with a shady spot under a tree beside it. The staff were extremely kind and helpful, and I’d come back if I visit Bukhara again. The rooms were very comfortable and spacious, with a lovely balcony. Breakfast was huge, but they brought multiple plates straight to the table without knowing whether we’d eat it all. A buffet might help avoid so much food being wasted.

This small family hotel has nice rooms and a large swimming pool, with a supermarket nearby. It’s a 20 minute walk to the city centre, and cheap taxis can take you to places of interest. Each morning we were served a generous, interesting breakfast at the table, and the menu changed daily.

The rooms were roomy, clean, and had bright bathrooms, and we always had water in them. Breakfast changed from day to day, and the staff were among the kindest people we met, always finding ways to make us happy. They spoke English too, which was a bonus. Shops and liquor stores are close by, and Yandex Go makes the trip to the center manageable, though the hotel is a bit far from it. Just be ready for hard pillows. I recommend it.

The breakfast tasted good, and I liked the large balcony and the ambient overhead lighting. Keep in mind this is beyond the tourist area, and there are no security cameras at the hotel. There should be. I know from personal experience. I hope the people there read this and understand that I know. Enjoy spending my money.
