Hotel Dendi Plaza

There isn't a lift, and every room is on the 2/F. The old town is about a 15-20 minute walk away. The place is clean and comfortable, and there's a water machine in the hallway.

The staff were the main letdown for me. At check-in I got a curt greeting, and when I asked about the area they weren't very helpful. They came across as distant and uninterested, without even a friendly hello or smile. For my solo trip, though, Dendi Plaza Hotel suited my short stay well. It was clean and comfortable, with a convenient spot near the highway and restaurants and shops within walking distance. The free breakfast was a nice extra, and I thought it was good value for the price.

My stay was a very negative experience because of Mutakhir, the rude and arrogant receptionist. We were told on arrival that our room supposedly wasn't ready, and he insisted we go to the hotel across the way. It felt strange, as if he had some personal reason for wanting us to stay there. I had chosen this hotel despite the 20-minute walk to the old town because it had a swimming pool. Mutakhir said using the tiny pool would cost 30 USD per hour, and the water turned out to be very cold. Later, after speaking with another receptionist, we learned the hotel was only at 20% occupation capacity and stayed for a second night.

I stayed in late March and slept really well. Even with the busy street, the noise barely came through. The staff were helpful, and there are free drinking water dispensers on every floor.
