Munis Hotel

We could get around the center of bokara on foot, with everything only a few minutes away, so we didn't need a taxi. The hotel sits right in the central square of the old buhara city, with historic buildings all around and a short 10 minute walk to the actual old historic most complex and towers. Even The Plov restaurant, known for serving the city's best plov, is about a kilometre away, around a 20-minute walk. It's an easy walk if you're up for it, and you see more along the way. The hotel itself is modern and clean, and the location is hard to beat.

The bathrooms were very clean, the rooms lovely, and the coffee was the best we had in Uzbekistan. Great hotel, right in the middle of the old town.

We booked a triple room months ahead for two nights in mid-October, but the hotel canceled, saying it was overbooked and couldn't give us a room. They offered no alternative place to stay, so we had to find somewhere else quickly at a much higher price. The whole thing was extremely unethical, unprofessional, and disappointing. It's a poorly run business, and this isn't how you run a hotel. The names kept changing after we booked. A few days later we got a message that the hotel name had changed. Sometimes it was hotel munis at lyabi hauz, sometimes munis boutique hotel, and sometimes munis hotel. We thought it was fine as long as it was the same place. This hotel munis at lyabi hauz Bukhara are scammers, unreliable hotel munis. Very bad. No stars.

We had two rooms reserved so we could come straight from Samarkand and sleep after arriving at night. We asked the staff to show us the rooms first. The rooms were okay, but the bathrooms were old and not very clean. We saw a cockroach, so we decided to leave. Very disappointing. At this price, hotels in this part of Bukhara seem to have similar bathrooms.
