The room was roomy and comfortable, and the shower had strong, warm water, which seemed unusual for Uzbekistan. Breakfast was another standout: tasty and cooked to order by the owner. The hotel sits within an easy walk of many sights and restaurants, yet the room itself was quiet and pleasant. The courtyard was still unfinished during our stay, though we were told it would have a bar and other things. It’s run by two of the kindest people I met in Uzbekistan. I’d happily recommend it to anyone coming to Bukhara.

I only stayed one night at the end of the year, and there wasn’t much information about the place on Google Maps, so I hope these notes help. The guesthouse is in a quiet, safe area, and the Old City sights are an easy walk away. The first-floor rooms are clean and comfortable, with traditional Uzbek décor. The building seems to have had some renovation a few years back; the courtyard and breakfast space are decorated in Uzbek style and have a relaxing feel. It’s a family-run place. The owner’s grandfather welcomed me, and I also saw the family’s living area behind the entrance lobby, with shoes lined up. The owner’s grandson greeted me when I checked out, which felt warm and personal. The owner mostly speaks Uzbek and Russian, so I used a translation app for English, but we managed without trouble. One practical note: the shower pressure in the second-floor rooms is weak, so for an overnight stay I’d suggest asking for a first-floor room. It has the characteristic Bukhara atmosphere and a genuinely welcoming feel.

Asror was such a gracious host, full of useful advice and incredibly polite. His family made us feel the warmth of Uzbek hospitality, and the breakfasts were delicious: homemade samsa, belyashi, cottage cheese, plus coffee made in a Turk. The location is handy for the main sights, but set back from the road. The older part of the guesthouse is showing its age, especially the bathroom. They were preparing new rooms and a new dining room when we visited. We were very glad we stayed here, and send warm wishes to Asror and his family.
