Lyabi Square in downtown Bukhara is about a 10 minute walk away. We were greeted with wine, and there was a snack buffet in the foyer, though the biscuits and nut mixes were piled up uncovered and stale. Breakfast was average, but enough to get by. The little birds in cages in the dining room and lobby were sweet to see. Our room was small, with dark wooden interiors, a comfortable mattress, hot water and air conditioning. Some rooms have a bar fridge, but ours had no in-room safe, and there was no bidet in the toilet. The Wi-Fi was terrible during our stay. Noise was a real problem. The hotel sits at a busy intersection, so there was traffic, honking and car alarms. My room was directly above the downstairs restaurant, where people moved and scraped tables and chairs all night on the wooden floors. The doors open outward and have no peepholes.

The staff were excellent, and the laundry came back well done, though it was expensive. Breakfast was decent, with great tea and coffee. Our clean, nice room had a little balcony and a good hot shower. Facing the main road by a traffic light meant some noise, but things quieted down in the evening. The hotel is at the end of the main road in and out of Bukhara old town. You can find places closer to the old town, but the 10-15 minute walk worked for us and was a nice way to start or finish the day.

Walking to Old Bukhara City was easy, which was a real plus. We enjoyed the generous breakfast spread of local and international dishes, and the concierge service was courteous. The hotel was nicely decorated and well furnished, with spacious, comfortable rooms that made our stay in Bukhara memorable.

The staff were friendly and helpful, and breakfast had a good variety. It’s close to the old city, but the mattress was rock hard and the Wi-Fi poor.

Just a few minutes on foot from the historic center, with kind staff and clean, well-furnished rooms. The Wi-Fi worked well too. Thanks for making our stay pleasant, and for the Algerian flag!
