Khiva Ibrohim is in a quiet spot that’s still close to everything to see in Khiva. We spent three nights there and really recommend it. Ibrohim was a great host: he arranged a tour to the fortresses and, after our flight schedule changed unexpectedly, organized an airport ride at the last minute for very early in the morning. He was up at 5 am to make sure the car had arrived.

Rajab, Ibrahim’s grandson, made us feel at home. He and his family were kind and helpful, and you could just ask them if you needed to know something. The place is quiet and very clean. Breakfast was a real eyeopener! They have single rooms and dormitories. Just remember, payment is cash only, in Som or $, and there are enough ATMs within walking distance. Thank you so much, Rajab. We really enjoyed staying in your home!

We were able to leave our bags after checkout and keep exploring, which was so thoughtful. My partner and I only stayed one night at Khiva Ibrohim guest house, and the hosts made us feel wonderfully welcome. It’s inside Itchan Kala, about a two-minute walk from the Pahlavan Mahmoud complex. Our room was beyond perfect, and the breakfast our host surprised us with the next morning was so generous it kept us full until evening. If you like a warm, homey welcome, stay here. The bedroom was clean, breakfast was good, and the host was lovely. The real surprise came after I left: I’d forgotten my glasses, and the host contacted me on WhatsApp and mailed them to my address in France for free. They arrived intact and very well packed. I’d give the stay six stars if I could, and I’ll definitely stay there again if I return to this beautiful city.

Try the homemade local green pasta, it’s wonderful. We stayed three nights and loved it. The room was huge, the shower was great, and breakfast was delicious. Guzal speaks wonderful English and even tried to get me a better price on a Suzanne, the local embroidery blanket, that I wanted to buy. The owners were very kind and friendly. It’s a quiet place inside the city walls, with a lovely courtyard. Highly recommended.
