Shahriston Hotel

The room was clean, modern, comfortable, and the best I stayed in during my time in Uzbekistan. The location inside the old city walls is excellent, and breakfast was good. The staff were very friendly and the Wi-Fi worked well. I could sometimes hear noise because my room was behind reception, like someone checking out late and talking loudly. The fish tank there also makes quite a racket. It might be better moved, and the fish could use a bigger tank to swim around in. This is a family home, so their lovely little girl sometimes wanders around and opens room doors. Fair enough, it’s her house, but lock your door if you’d rather avoid a surprise.

Khiva was the highlight of my trip, and this hotel was a big part of that. As a solo woman traveling, I felt safe, respected, and looked after, almost like I was at home. The family hosting us were warm and generous. The room was clean and spacious, with a huge bed and the softest pillows. The bathroom was large and had towel warmers. I slept better here than anywhere else on my trip. The location is stunning, the staff greet you with warm smiles, and the price is such good value. 11/10, stop scrolling and stay here!

Breakfast kept me full, and I slept comfortably on the very comfortable mattresses. My double room was clean, and the host was friendly and happy to help. A nice homestay.

The balcony has a nice view, as you can see in the video, and the location is right in the center. The family are friendly, the rooms are clean, and breakfast is almost like a hotel buffet. A perfect place, highly recommended!
