After walking all day in the scorching heat at Itchan Qala, I wanted somewhere peaceful to rest, and "Shokhjakhon" Hotel was just right. It’s quiet, the rooms are very clean, breakfast is delicious, and the staff are kind. My best dinner was here. The Uzbek lady who owns the hotel’s wife cooks so, so deliciously. It’s 40 meters from the North Gate and 120 meters from Ota Darvoza (Main Gate), so it’s easy to go around inside the walls and come back to rest and catch your breath. Just around the corner there are two Milliy Taomlar (national dishes) coffees with very accessible prices. Thank you!

Great breakfast, and the hotel is one of the closest to the old city, Itchan Kala. One of the best places to stay for a reasonable price.

The hotel is right across from the Khiva fort, with spacious rooms and free WiFi. Food is freshly prepared and tastes good, and the staff are very friendly. I’d definitely recommend staying here in Khiva.

The staff are kind and respectful, and speak English, Russian, Turkish, Uzbek, and some Italian very well. Rooms are clean, meals are delicious, and the location is convenient for Bakcha Darvaza (Garden Gate = Garden Gate) and the West Gate, Ota-Darvoza (Father Gate).

The staff are what make this place so special. Ibrahim at the front desk, Adilbek who runs the show, and his adorable 11-year-old son Shokhjakhon were all immensely kind and welcoming. They really make “Nothing is too much trouble” feel true. The rooms are great, the location is unbeatable, and an excellent breakfast is included. Simply fantastic, and the best in Khiva!
