The location felt like the worst in all of Samarkand. The streets were dark and empty, with no food, mini markets, people, or tourists around. We were the only guests, and the host kept leaving the place unattended, which made it feel unsafe. I can't even call it a hotel. When we arrived to check in, nobody was around. We shouted for an hour before finding out the guy was asleep somewhere inside. There was no AC remote in our room, and the other remotes had no batteries. We needed a taxi to the airport in the middle of the night, but it was clear we wouldn't get help, so we left much earlier to find one ourselves. Avoid this place and go elsewhere.

For the price, it was okay. The beds were clean and comfortable, and the AC and internet worked well. The location wasn't bad either. Breakfast was very limited in quantity and variety, though, and the shower was broken. I had to take the handle off to get any water. Hardly anyone spoke English, and the family didn't make us feel welcome.

The family were really friendly, and breakfast was great. It's also a really nice hotel, well placed for the main sights in Samarkand.
