Good value for the money and a great location. The room ran warmer than I like, but the AC worked perfectly, so it wasn’t an issue. I usually prefer firm beds, though this one was too hard even for me.

The guesthouse is in a very handy spot, just five minutes from Registan Square. That’s about where the good points end. The mattresses and pillows were unbelievably hard. They gave me an extra thin mattress, but it didn’t make the bed feel any better. The shower, sink, and toilet are squeezed into one small space with no raised edges or separation, so showering floods almost the whole area, and the water drains slowly. The bathroom area wasn’t cleaned daily or between guests. When we arrived, the metal fixtures already had heavy spots and buildup, and the walls, floor, and toilet were far from clean too. The outside windowsill was so covered in bird mess that it was unpleasant to go near the window. The administrator was responsive and gave us an extra mattress and blanket, plus dishes for our evening meal when we asked. We were asked to leave outdoor shoes at the door and were given slippers. But that couldn’t make up for the lack of cleaning in the room’s bathroom.
