Continental Hotel

The room was a little small, but plenty big enough for me on my own. The doorman even helped me find my taxi and carried my suitcase, and they let me have breakfast before the official opening time. Fantastic stay, with impeccable service and breakfast.

The staff are friendly and helpful, and the location is handy for the sights while being a little away from the tourist area noise. I liked having a clean spa to unwind in before more evening sightseeing, with a Hammam, sauna, pool, and jacuzzi. It opens from 8am-10pm. The rooms are cosy and breakfast is tasty. A very nice hotel and definitely worth staying at.

I wouldn't recommend this hotel. My room stayed at 27-28 degrees Celsius, and switching on the air conditioner made it rise to 30 instead of cooling it. I couldn't open the window, so I had to sleep in the heat. The only suggestion from the hotel was to leave the door open to air the room. From the reviews, it seems the shared heating system affects all the rooms, not just mine. When I asked whether they had ice, they said yes and promised to bring some right away. Forty minutes later there was still none. I eventually went down to reception and only then learned they didn't have any at all. I couldn't call reception from my room because the phone didn't work either. I'd spend $20 more to stay next door or elsewhere. This hotel doesn't deserve 4 stars.

The hotel's location and facilities may be good, but the service suffered badly because of the staff. We asked for a wake-up call and didn't get one, so we nearly missed our flight. At checkout, nobody offered to help with our luggage. I also wouldn't rely on Sencer Bey's recommendations at reception. He acted as a go-between for a car rental company he arranged, and it caused us serious inconvenience. Our deposit wasn't returned. The staff were neither attentive nor honest toward tourists. It was a negative experience.
