Gostevoy Dom Green House Eco Hotel

The rooms were clean, the courtyard lovely, the service friendly, and breakfast excellent. For a budget or midrange hotel in Uzbekistan, being able to pay by card is a major plus and extremely rare. The main attractions are a bit far, but a Yandex taxi gets you to the city centre in 15-20 minutes. Great value for money, highly recommended.

The entrance and garden were the one bright spot, nicely decorated and maintained. We picked the hotel after reading excellent online reviews, but the service disappointed us. We were given a different room from the one we booked and were told they might or might not change it. The room was an okay size and had the amenities, but it was very run down, the mattresses were hard, and there was no drinking water. Breakfast coffee was excellent, though the bread we were served was hard.

The owner was always around, which felt reassuring, and went out of his way to help us with whatever we needed. During our fasting period, he even arranged a filling suhoor breakfast at 4 am. Fresh bread and delicious omelettes made breakfast a highlight. The rooms were comfortable and impeccably clean, a restful place after a day out. The pool has no heater, but it was a refreshing option for summer guests. Local decor and inviting sit-out areas gave the hotel a calm, relaxing feel. A delightful stay from beginning to end, and I highly recommend it for the hospitality, comfortable rooms, and peaceful atmosphere.

The place has an authentic Uzbekistan style, and there’s a supermarket nearby. Yandex rides are available throughout the day. We enjoyed the tasty breakfast, and the nice cat and turtle were a sweet touch. Thanks to Mr Jayrat and his wife for being so friendly and welcoming during our stay.
