The hotel helped us get my wife’s phone back after she left it at a restaurant where we’d had lunch. They called the restaurant and arranged a taxi so we could retrieve it. Service was excellent, and the location is good, not far from the train station. Our group had 10 people, and the rooms were so large we could all sit together and have our evening drinks.

The pool area is nice, and the refurbishment has kept the place clean. Staff were efficient and tried to help, but the rooms don’t feel worth the price. The mattresses are old, with a kurpacha laid over them to soften them, and the furniture and carpets need replacing. Yellow curtains let the sun into the room at 6am. There are plenty of hotels in Samarqand for less, so Konstantin doesn’t seem worth 90usd a night for foreigners. Locals pay less.

We stayed at Konstantin Hotel for two nights. The rooms felt luxurious, and the staff were very friendly and attentive. Breakfast was a great buffet, too.

The treadmill kept tripping while I tried to do cardio, so I had to hold onto the safety rail the whole time. The hotel’s cardio equipment is poor quality. It’s on Samarkand’s main street, with important places around the city reachable within ten minutes. There are no lifts, but staff are there to help with luggage.
