Art Elite Hotel

They weren't transparent about what we were getting. On arrival, they moved us to another building in a different neighborhood, saying it belonged to them, and eventually put us in Shams Art. I had to carry four suitcases at night. The price I'd paid was for a better room and amenities, but the room was noisy, the AC didn't work, breakfast was below average, and the property wasn't clean enough. When I complained and asked to change rooms, they said all the rooms at Art Elite were booked. They promised compensation but never gave it. I paid for something I didn't receive. Avoid this place at all costs!

I'd booked well in advance, but when I got there, reception told me they had no rooms available. Nobody apologized or offered to help me find somewhere else. The only suggestion was another hotel in the same chain, and it cost even more.

The room was spacious and had all the facilities I needed, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The location was convenient too. Breakfast could be better, but it was a pleasant stay.

For our short stays in Tashkent, this was one of the cheapest rooms we could find, and it turned out to be great value. The room was quiet and well kept, with a nice purple velvet touch. It had decent heating and a hot water kettle. There was a hot water problem in the bathroom, but staff fixed it after we told them. Moscow Pizza is a nice pizzeria within walking distance, and there's a good Korzinka nearby. A good pick if you're on a limited budget!
