The kofta kabab and salad were the dinner dishes I liked, and the tea and baklava were good too. But the meat and cheese pies were much too oily. It's a large Turkish restaurant, though the food, especially breakfast, wasn't that great for a Turkish place. I ordered a meat omelette and it came out runny.
The food was delicious, the service excellent, and the prices reasonable. I went with seven friends and our bill was about $90. The meat was tender, flavorful, and well seasoned, while the salads and vegetables were fresh. The bread came hot and soft, and the tea was fragrant.
I can't recommend this place to anyone who values their time. People go out to relax and enjoy dinner, even though they could cook for less at home, but this place was a complete disappointment. The menu was in Russian, and the waiters didn't understand it. I asked for a sparkling cherry drink and got lemon juice instead, with the waiter saying that's what I'd asked for. The same happened at the table beside us: they received a completely different dish from what they ordered, but were nice and kept it. The service was terrible. It was Saturday evening, yet several soups and some cold starters were unavailable, and so was the cherry drink. The waiter kept making excuses. Wet napkins for eating pide with your hands had also run out by the end of our meal. Children were running all over the restaurant, and the supervisor did nothing. When we asked if that was normal, he said kids always run around there like it's a playground. The place has been around for 30 years, yet still has no play area, while other restaurants do. The menu already had very little to choose from even though the restaurant wasn't busy. And the teacup they gave us was dirty and stained. Really disturbing.
It was International Women's Day, a big holiday here, and the restaurant was packed. It's huge and can seat plenty of people. Some dishes had run out on such a busy day, but everything we did get was fantastic, so we have no regrets. The Pide and Chicken Kebab were especially good. I'm sure they'd have the full menu on a normal day. We'll definitely come back to try the Doner Kebab.
We came for lunch around 3pm. It was busy, but the place is big enough that we found a table without waiting. They brought tea when we arrived, and we ordered quickly. There's a QR code menu on the table, or you can ask for a paper one. Our mixed kebab and tawook kebab came with bread, and we added side salad, coffee, and tea. The bill was about £8, plus a 10% service charge, bringing it to roughly £9, which felt worth it. The meat was juicy, tasty, and well seasoned, the salad was fresh, and the bread was warm and delicious. Friendly staff, fast service, and a lively atmosphere. I'd definitely recommend it if you're nearby.
