Ravshan and family are lovely people, and the courtyard and comfortable rooms made the stay feel warm and local. The shower was the hottest I've had in Central Asia. Chorsu Bazaar and plenty of useful shops for both travelers and locals are within walking distance. I'd take this kind of experience over a Holiday Inn anytime!

A quiet residential setting near Chorsu Bazaar makes Gulnara a peaceful place to stay. The family owners are hospitable and very kind. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious, served in the beautiful courtyard, and the rooms were clean and comfortable. Gulnara Guesthouse is a very good choice in Tashkent.

Breakfast needs work. A little more variety would help, and some fruit would be nice. The guesthouse is conveniently located near Chorsu Bazaar, but the room was very basic for USD 45, which felt pricey. We paid USD 20 for a late checkout until 6pm, then the owner cut the electricity while we were resting. After an hour without power, we complained and asked for a discount, and paid USD 15 for the inconvenience. The location is good, but the value was poor and the service left a lot to be desired.

The location worked really well for me, close to Chorsu Bazaar and the Chorsu metro stop. The owner and staff were all very nice and helpful, and the courtyard felt welcoming. In the middle of busy Tashkent, Gulnara Guesthouse is a peaceful little oasis. The rooms are simple and spacious, comfortable, and impeccably clean.
