The room itself was small, new, and pleasant, and I liked it a lot. The sweet older woman in the breakfast area also tried hard to offer me fresh porridge, even though she didn’t speak English. My trouble was at check-in. Agoda had booked through a partner that turned out to be Expedia, but Expedia had no reservation when I arrived. The receptionist could barely speak English and called a manager, who insisted I had to pay for a new booking. I was exhausted, so I paid and contacted Agoda for a refund. The manager’s manner bothered me, especially when he claimed they never accept payments from online travel companies, since Expedia later confirmed my booking and the receptionist came to my room with cash to refund me. The receptionists didn’t smile at either check-in or check-out, and I had to use my phone to work out what they were saying. Staff who deal with guests could use more English, or take the initiative to use Google Translate.

The hotel is handy for both the city center and the airport, and there’s a shared refrigerator in the hallway. Our room was clean, with a wardrobe, kettle, slippers, and bedside lamps. The kettle didn’t work, but they replaced it right away. The beds and pillows were comfortable, and the shower had good pressure, a decent head, and a comfortable temperature. My only reservation is that drinking alcohol in the room isn’t allowed.

We had an issue with one of our temporary registrations, and the friendly staff helped us sort it out effectively. The hotel and rooms were clean and comfortable, and the setting was quiet but easy to reach by taxi. Everything was perfect.

The staff were very helpful. They let us leave our luggage without a fuss and helped arrange a taxi. Breakfast was good, too. The hotel is on a side street about 300 meters from a major public transport route, though the buses stop running at 9:00 PM.

We stayed for three days, and the rest of the place barely feels worth the price. Breakfast especially was disappointing. Dilbarni at reception is rude and unpleasant in person, even though she speaks nicely on the phone.
