Elshod Hotel

Fayz Hotel made a comfortable base in Urgench for our time in the Khorezm region. Getting to the airport was easy, and the main roads nearby made trips to Khiva and other sights straightforward. It's also in reach of local shops and restaurants, though it isn't in Khiva's historical center. The breakfast buffet is included and has both local and international food. There’s also an on-site restaurant and bar, plus two coffee shops. The rooms were spotless and quiet, with practical basics like air conditioning, a TV, kettle, and hairdryer. Some look over the city or the hotel garden, and Wi-Fi is available throughout. Staff at reception were welcoming and spoke multiple languages. They made check-in simple and were happy to help with local suggestions or airport transfers. Around the property, we found the same care in the shared spaces as in the rooms. Free parking, a 24-hour desk, laundry, and luggage storage were useful extras. It works for business trips as well as sightseeing, with modern comforts and attentive service. A friendly place to return to after exploring Urgench and the surrounding area.

The rooms are large and comfortable, even if they're pretty basic. The airport is close, while the hotel is still in the city. But the place felt almost deserted, like a ghost hotel, with only two or three rooms occupied and staff sleeping on lobby sofas. There were no bars or other facilities.

The staff were so friendly and the service was excellent, which would be enough to make me stay here. There are room types at different price levels. Since the hotel has just opened, a few things may still have glitches.
