Sandals St. Vincent and the Grenadines

I came for a wedding that had been moved from sandals south coast, and Sandals transferred our rooms without any trouble. The wedding went smoothly for the people who made it. The resort is in a beautiful valley, with lush scenery and perfect sunsets. December brought lovely weather and water. The food was great, especially the lamb chops at Butch’s. Gatsu Gatsu had good sushi, and I loved the drinks at Three Jewels rum bar. Service was good, most staff were friendly, and there was no language barrier. This was easily my best all-inclusive stay so far, though I've only been to a few resorts since I usually prefer cultural immersion when I travel. I'd recommend it as a unique destination, and the island has plenty to offer.

We tried to add more nights, but the resort was fully booked, and it's easy to see why. The setting is amazing, with a beautiful beach backed by mountains and rainforest. Food was amazing, service excellent, and the pool areas were wonderful, with something for everyone. The main pool has a swim bar and music all day. The heart pool is quieter and more intimate, while the crescent pool sits somewhere between the two. We loved our five nights and only wish we could've stayed longer. Can't wait to return!

Sandals was VERY helpful when we had to switch resorts at the last minute, after hurricane Melissa changed our Jamaica plans. We had to rearrange some plane tickets to get to St. Vincent. The resort itself was amazing, in one of the most beautiful places I've ever seen. We were told all rooms were booked, but it never felt crowded. There was plenty of space at the party pools and on the beach. The water is crystal clear, the rum is amazing, and the staff go above and beyond to make sure you enjoy your stay. The restaurants were pretty good. My only complaint is that I would've liked more authentic food. I'd highly recommend this resort. It's worth every penny!

The departure lounge was a terrific idea. On our last morning, we could swim and sunbathe, then shower while our hand luggage stayed safe in lockers before the afternoon departure. I'd go again, YES. The grounds and rooms were beautiful and spotless, and the food everywhere was spot on. Most staff were lovely, friendly, and went above and beyond, though we did meet three grumpy ones at the beach bar and both coffee shops. Buccan is a brilliant night out and mustn't be missed. The free snorkelling and bat cave excursions are worth doing too. Gatsu Gatsu was the one letdown. We'd heard the same from other guests we met. We ate there twice and both visits were identical: after being seated, we waited ages without even a drink. When service finally came, the drinks, starters, and main arrived all together. That left little time to eat and drink, and both times we skipped dessert because we just wanted to leave. The food itself was superb. If they could sort out the service, it would be fantastic.
