Frangipani Hotel

We were six people and asked if they could serve us. They said yes, though they were out of fries, which come with most of their dishes. We went ahead and sat down. After half an hour, we had to ask for menus before a waitress came over. We ordered five burgers and chicken wings, and since fries weren't available, asked if we could have extra wings instead. They agreed. Then we waited from 8 to 9:30 p.m. for food that was extremely mediocre for such a long wait. We've experienced Caribbean time before, but this was something else. If you plan to eat here, have a snack first.

The view is amazing, and the staff are friendly. We had breakfast here every morning of our stay on Bequia, and it was delicious. Their banana bread makes a lovely afternoon snack too.

I'm not usually one to review bars, but this place is great. The owner makes you feel welcome and appreciated, and the service is fantastic. Highly recommend it.

On both nights, we felt overlooked as tourists. At the bar, the staff seemed to skip us for the regulars, and it came across as intentional. Some of the rudest people we met on the island were the staff and regulars here, despite how lovely everyone else has been. Keep walking. There's more to see on this beautiful island than this sore thumb.
