The island has beautiful views, a lovely beach and clear water, plus tasty food, from ribs and chicken to lobster and the catch of the day. Four months ago it was tragically hit by the hurican. Some buildings have been partly rebuilt. The hotel looks like an aboned ruin, and a new areal with bungalows will be built close by.

We were sailing through and, since we work while long-term cruising, need a steady connection. I was working ashore under one of their shelters on my own data plan when a very agitated staff member rudely told me to leave. They said I couldn't use their facilities without patronizing the bar. I said I was happy to do that, but they replied that buying a beer didn't count. At the time there wasn't much else to buy, and they weren't serving food during the days we were there. I didn't argue, apologized, and went back to the boat to finish my workday. I won't spend a penny at this bar. Other places understand cruising sailors like us and try to accommodate us. If we can't connect, we can't work, and if we can't work, we can't come to your little island. It's that simple. Maybe this place will come around, but I won't be back to find out.

Lovely bay and awesome beach. Freddy's is worth a visit for food or just drinks. Watch out for bats flying around all night. They can get into the boat and make a mess, so keep everything shut or covered with a towel or something.

It's not bad, though the boat boys are part of the scene. Our mooring looked very good, but the other boats anchoring around us made things a bit uncomfortable. The roll was more than I expected. Pulling farther forward into the bay might help reduce it.

Kite surfing seems to be the main draw here. The snorkeling wasn't great for me, murky in the calm spots and rough where the water was clear. There are the usual makeshift island bars and beach vendors selling T-shirts. I'd have rated it higher if I were kite surfing. The surfers looked like they were having a great time.
