The indoor pool was a big plus for me since I don't like being outdoors, and I spent hours playing in the pool. It was quiet and had a luxury feel, and the service was pretty good. I was melting from the heat the whole time, though. Still, I had a pretty good stay and would recommend it.

My last stay was in 2018, after several earlier visits, and the experience has gone downhill. Breakfast used to come with the stay, but now it costs extra and seemed pricey, so I skipped it. There's no phone system. You can contact the front desk on WhatsApp, but replies take a while. Housekeeping starts knocking at 8 a.m.; they told me they finish by 2 and won't clean my room after that. The internet is mediocre at best and very spotty in both rooms and common areas. Pool chairs and outdoor furniture were uncomfortable, old, and falling apart. The pool lights had come loose from their sockets and were floating, which seemed like a possible shock hazard. The nice waterfall no longer worked. There was no in-room safe, though one was brought up sometime on my third day. Still, this remains the best option in Barquisimeto, and I'd stay again. The rooms are clean, the linens are in good shape, the AC works well, and the shower has good pressure and hot water. The staff are warm and welcoming. The hotel connects to the mall, so there are plenty of places to eat and buy snacks, with lots of nearby dining options too. One tip: pick a room on the west side of the building, away from the street.
