The drive from Caracas is better via Barcelona than through Barlovento, Rio Chico, and El Guapo. It may look longer, but it saves about an hour. That route is in good condition, though there isn’t much signage between Rio Chico and El Guapo, and some sharp curves call for care. Speeding there could make for an unpleasant drive. The road from Caucagua to El Guapo is much rougher, with dangerous potholes, heavy trucks, uneven pavement, a narrow roadway, and reckless drivers. At the inn, the price, service, and value are excellent. Nela, Ender, Laura, and the rest of the team did a fantastic job, and both the stay and the food made for a memorable experience. I highly recommend it.

The food was a highlight, with every dish better than the one before, and the prices for extra services were very reasonable. The facilities are in perfect condition, and from the first minute the owner and staff were warm and dedicated, with service that felt unmatched. EXCELLENT is the one word I’d use for my stay. I highly recommend this inn as a chance to discover this Caribbean corner through the words of Uchire. It’s an oasis worth experiencing.

The inn is simple but welcoming, with very nice facilities and excellent service. My two cats and guinea pig were comfortable and treated really well, too. The pool is shallow. It’s a little remote, which is great if you want to get away from noise. Nearby there’s a golden sand beach with pretty thatched-roof huts, though the seawater isn’t the best. Highly recommended.

The owner, Nela, and her team are attentive, charismatic, and caring with their guests. The place feels like home, and the facilities are kept in great shape. There’s plenty of room, the rooms have air conditioning, and the food is delicious. We brought our dog, and she was treated excellently too. Great service and facilities!
