The food is okay and the location is good, but the hotel feels more like a 3-star place than its 4-star rating suggests. Front desk service has been terrible. On my last visit, I was meant to check in at 3 pm and ended up waiting until 7 pm for my room.

I was robbed during my stay, and the water supply is regulated. Even getting a cab through the front desk went so badly that I missed a restaurant reservation. Check-in took between 45 minutes and an hour; the room they gave me wasn’t ready, and the alternative they tried to move me to wasn’t ready either. This was for my June 21, 2018 booking. If you want to waste time and money, go there.

The service was awful, and they didn’t take the problems seriously. Renovation noise started on my floor at 6 am, then the next night they were working on the roof at 2 am. It’s cheap compared with nearby hotels, but is it worth the risk? No.

The hotel is inside Paseo Las Mercedes mall, which has a theatre, and breakfast is included and really good quality. Prices are reasonable, too. Caracas has more luxurious places, but I don’t think any is better located than PLM. I’d even say it’s the only hotel in the city you can safely walk to and from.

Decent prices and a nice spot for a short stay, especially on a business trip.
