Posada Lagunita

We had such a hard time leaving. The owner and staff made us feel like we were with family, and the care they put into making the stay special came through in everything. My Spanish is barely basic, so I regret not being able to have a proper conversation with them. Meals changed every day, with several breakfast choices, a beach lunch box, and four-course dinners built around the catch of the day. There was plenty to eat, it all looked lovely, and the cooks did a wonderful job. Full board is definitely the way to go, and they have a wide choice of drinks to enjoy there or take to the beach. Our room was clean every day, and the staff were quick to help if we needed anything. There are rooms in different sizes, and ours had air conditioning, a TV, comfortable beds, and books. They also sorted out our island trips, including some we chose beyond those already included, booked our return flights from Caracas to Los Roques, and arranged a guide to take us between Caracas airport and the hotel. If you want to relax with good food and a family-like atmosphere, this is the place. The pretty beaches and water were part of why leaving was hard, too.
