Beautiful hotel.

The rooms were clean and the staff helpful, and everything apart from the food was quite okay. But this was the only bad food experience I've had across my three visits to los roques. I told the supervisor after the first day. The next day was quite different, but on days three and four it was back to being like the first. Lunch in particular was a very small portion, and the first and third days were repeats. When I raised it, the supervisor said they weren't at the same price level as the others. Still, I couldn't be convinced they could serve exactly the same lunch and dinner to their guests at the prices they charge. Given the positive reviews from the past, I can only assume they don't give all their customers the same attention, or that I was unlucky, or that people simply aren't aware of what the competition offers.

It's such a peaceful inn, a lovely place to unwind after diving or a day at the beach. Acuario has a great vibe, and the service feels personal, with real care behind it. Carlos, the manager, and Lisbeth, the assistant manager, made us feel valued. They handled every situation, even the complicated ones, with ease and skill. The dinners were memorable and the atmosphere welcoming. I'd definitely return.
