The nearby hiking trails and white sandy beaches were a plus, and the hotel worked well for our whole family, including my teenage kids. We also liked the tasty food, roomy clean rooms, open-air spaces, and peaceful sound of the ocean.

I haven't stayed at the hotel, but I did have lunch at the seaside restaurant. The view was great, the service was good, and there was a nice range of dishes. I ordered the fried shrimp and really enjoyed them.

Loved our stay and would highly recommend it! Just a heads-up, the beaches are very rocky, so swimming in the ocean isn't really possible. That's not the hotel's fault.

The ocean breeze kept things cool, and the pool was fantastic with lots of room to relax. We had great views from both our villa and the grounds at The Grapetree. The Japanese steakhouse's sushi was unbelievable. Breakfast was good too, as were the sandwiches and salads. A highlight was our morning server, whose name we think was Annie from a receipt we found. She was so warm and friendly that my husband and I both felt like old friends or family. We'd definitely consider coming back.

We visited the restaurant and had a great first experience. Although breakfast service ends at 10 am and breakfast was already over, the friendly hostess still seated us and the staff served a really good meal. All five adults and our toddler were happy with the food, and it was very affordable at $160. The view and atmosphere were lovely too. Such a wonderful hidden gem. We'll be back soon.
