The hotel manager, Angie, was welcoming, professional, and really on the ball. Julia also took care of us from the moment we arrived, in a friendly and professional way. Everyone we met who worked with or was associated with the hotel was cheerful and friendly. Our room was comfortable and super clean. The Comanche is quaint, with wooden stairs, an old-world feel, and a library full of lovely old, interesting books. It’s steps from great restaurants, shops, and historic spots. I’d recommend it, and we’ll definitely return to Comanche next time we’re in gorgeous St. Croix. Keep up the great work, Comanche team.

Upstairs, the bar has a shady spot with nice cross breezes and a good view over downtown. The GM, Jamie, is passionate about making the stay feel distinctive. Jamie spent time telling us about the site’s history and showing us its nooks and crannies. The Comanche club has wonderful historic character. It feels like hanging out in an Ernest Hemingway novel, in a 300-year-old building with good bones. I’d recommend it to anyone who enjoys history, good food, art, spirits, and a thoughtfully put-together experience.

That big covered outdoor bar, with its antique wood, is a great spot to relax, socialize, or work remotely, day or night. It’s also a nice place to meet locals and other travelers. This is an independent, laid-back island 3-star hotel with a friendly atmosphere and historic feel. The location is terrific, right in the heart of Christiansted for shopping, exploring, tours, and nightlife. The pool was closed while I was there.

Jamey looked after us, and her customer service was so good that we added another day to our stay. The room was clean, and the view was amazing. The Comanche is a historic property, right in the middle of everything in Christiansted. It’s been around since 1756, which is quite something. We had a wonderful stay and will definitely be back in June. Thanks again for everything, Jamey!

The staff were amazing, and the hotel is right in the heart of Christiansted, with lots of places within walking distance. Music drifts in from the boardwalk, so there’s a steady beat in the background. If you need a little sound to fall asleep, this might suit you. Our bed wasn’t very comfortable, and we were told that since we were staying longer, the nicer rooms are usually reserved for shorter visits. The pool was out of service while we were there. There was a convenient mini fridge in the room, but it might not be the best setup if you’re traveling with a partner. The bathroom had a vented door, no fan, and was right next to the bed. Let’s just say there’s no mystery left.
