The dogs around this hotel made getting there a real problem. Some owners on Chau Van Dang let their dogs out to chase people, and a dog in the Tran Huynh and Duong Thi Sau lane wouldn't let anyone pass. I found the safe route was via Chau VanDang and Huynh Van Xa to Tran Van Tat, or Nguyen Cong Toc to Tran Van Tat. I wish the hotel would ask the owners to keep their dogs behind closed gates. Inside, my room had clearly not been cleaned properly. The drawer still had rubbish, both glasses were dirty, and the sheets smelled like they had been left by the previous guest. The receptionist had them changed when I reported it, but the replacements had holes, apparently from someone smoking in bed. There were stains on the walls, and the small, thin towel was soaked after one use. The bathroom shelf was unusable: one side rested on the faucet, so I had to lift it whenever I opened or closed the tap. The sink was hidden behind the bathroom door, so I had to go in and shut the door just to reach it. And this place calls itself a 3-star hotel on Google Maps? What are they talking about?

It's basic and simple, but good value. The same room is 500k for two people or 300k for one, and it's fairly close to the center.

I only stayed for 16 hours, but I really enjoyed it. The homestay block has a cozy, lovely feel, and there was a TV and hair dryer, enough for me to watch shows and style my hair while snacking on crisps. I had such a nice time that I forgot to take photos 🙈 The staff were kind and very helpful. They accept pets if they're small, friendly, flea-, tick- and mite-free, don't bark, and are toilet trained. Just a note, there's no fridge or kitchen yet.

It's a quiet, clean place with friendly staff, and the prices seem reasonable. You can choose a hotel room or a homestay room, which costs about 100k VND more for each type. Room service wasn't great. I had reserved ahead, but when I arrived there weren't any bath supplies. Checkout is set for 12am, with a 50k VND late fee. Reception hadn't told me about the charge, which felt kind of like a scam for travelers.
