Sunshine Homestay

We found coffee shops, eateries, temples, and other things to do within walking distance of Sunshine Homestay. The rooms were very clean and well designed, and the price was excellent value. We stayed for a few nights over New Year’s and would happily come back when visiting Bac Lieu. It was hard to get a Grab during the holiday season, but the staff kindly called independent car companies to check availability. They were helpful with our other questions and needs too. The whole team was hospitable and came across as genuine.

The rooms were among the nicest and cleanest we saw in Vietnam on our trip. The owner and staff at Sunshine Homestay were kind and helpful, going out of their way to make us comfortable and sharing tips only locals would know. Staying there made our Bac Lieu trip 100x better than it would have been elsewhere. I’d highly recommend it if you’re looking for a place in Bac Lieu.

The room was fairly clean, but the ground-floor room felt stuffy and smelled strongly of room spray when we came in. The receptionist switched on the ventilation to clear it, though the smell never fully went away. The soundproofing was poor too. Rain was so loud the night we slept there that we couldn't sleep well.

There’s plenty of parking, which is handy if you’re traveling by private vehicle. The rooms have modern furnishings and feel cozy, like home. Sunshine Homestay is new and well maintained, and I was very satisfied with my stay. I’ll definitely return if I get the chance. It’s also easy to get to Bac Lieu attractions from here, including the Bac Lieu Prince's House and Cao Van Lau Memorial Area. The Quan Am Buddha Statue is just a short drive away.
