Nhon Thanh Homestay

The family made us feel at home as soon as we arrived, and the area is lovely and quiet, with hardly any other tourists. There are hammocks and places to relax, free bicycles that are fine, and as much complimentary green tea as you want. Breakfast was great too, with egg banh mi, fresh mangoes, and other garden fruit. My one complaint is that the room wasn't sealed off, so we woke when the family started moving around at 6:30am.

We were charged per person, though the total came out reasonable and in line with other homestays in the area. The meals cooked by Than's mother were delicious, but there was far too much food for us, even though we really tried to finish it. We had a wonderful two nights with the family in this quiet spot surrounded by nature. Cycling around the area was interesting, and Than's little daughter is a sweet girl who'll try to be your friend 😊.

The included breakfast was good, and lunch and dinner were both delicious and very cheap. There’s plenty to do nearby, from visiting the coconut candy factory to taking a boat ride through the canals with Moi, the family chief, and Han, his daughter. The homestay is a little far from the city, but you can wander along the quiet little streets and get lost among the flowers. It’s a welcoming family in a lovely spot among the Mekong canals and coconut trees. A good place to spend a couple of relaxed nights while exploring the countryside.

It’s a little outside the city, so this could suit you if you want somewhere quiet, especially if you’re with a companion or family. The owner was friendly and caring, and the rooms were average for this kind of place. They could improve the look of the homestay and provide hot water. Still, I had a good experience overall.
