I've stayed at quite a few hotels in Cam Pha while visiting family, and this is the best one I've found, though there's still room to improve. The location is close to the beach and the downtown and stadium area, but the hotel sits in a sad, abandoned housing development. The room was the nicest I've had in Cam Pha, especially the bathroom. Get one with a balcony if you can. The AC kept resetting itself to 22 degrees, which was odd. There were no TV channels, either, so watching anything meant logging into my own Netflix. I couldn't get to the 6th floor in February because it was locked, and I'd hoped to see the view from up there. There's a piano bar nearby, but I didn't go in. Breakfast was disappointing, with little fruit or hot food and no juice, just water and coffee. I'd eat outside instead. Local dishes like bún hải sản are a better bet.

The room was clean and perfectly fine, and the beds were comfortable, which was a relief. Still, this was a strange stay. The hotel itself felt a little dated, and we got the impression we were the only guests. It's in Green Dragon City, a ghost town of huge, empty mansions that still looked unfinished. Streetlights and decorations were all around, but there wasn't anyone for miles. The rooftop pool door was locked, and it looked as if nobody had gone through it in years. Breakfast wasn't much to write home about. The people serving it also seemed caught up in the gloomy feel of the place. We did spot a few other guests then. We chose to leave after one night instead of staying two, and get out as quickly as we could.

I didn't expect such lovely, clean rooms and attentive service at a reasonable price. Five stars from me. When work brings me to Cam Pha, this is the hotel I'll choose.
