The Western Seaview Cam Ranh Condotel

The service was good.

Good.

The beach was clean and beautiful, but my first stay at the hotel was awful. The reception and security staff had a bad attitude, didn’t seem to know the answers, and gave vague replies. Check-in and checkout took an extremely long time. Our Wi-Fi didn’t work and the room key card was faulty. Even when we asked, they didn’t refill the shower gel or water each day, so we had to get them ourselves. It rained, and nobody was managing the drop-off and pickup area. Tour buses were left haphazardly for an hour, blocking all vehicles from getting in or out. There was also no staff around for the electric buggy.

I live in Nha Trang and was looking for a reasonably priced beachfront hotel for my day off. I rented a sea-view apartment on the 12th floor for 1.1 million dong and was delighted with it. The room was spacious and lovely. There were a few small problems with the balcony, but given the price and how many rooms this huge complex has, they felt minor. There are lots of pools across the grounds, and they’re large and warm, so you can walk around and pick one. I’ve seen many complaints about leaves and insects in the water, but this is Asia, and it’s a huge hotel where a night costs 4-5 times less than at other hotels along this coast. For a proper 10-12 day vacation, I’d look at places in the city instead. This one works well for a few budget-friendly days on the coast.
