After an Airbnb scam, I searched nearby for an inexpensive hotel and this place worked for me. It's no-frills, but the room was clean and quiet, with what two people need: AC, good Wi-Fi, towels, shampoo, a mini fridge, and a kettle. The location is awesome. If you're visiting Can Tho, skip Airbnb and look for a hotel near Cho Dem market that fits your budget. I had a happy stay and highly recommend this hotel!

I've stayed here several times since 2017, most recently in January 2023. For the price, the stars are fair. Hoang Hai Dang 1 is a basic, inexpensive hotel near Ninh Kieu Wharf and the sights travelers want to see in Can Tho. They arrange shuttle rides to and from the Futa-Bus terminal and boat tours to the floating market. The staff are friendly, and some rooms on the higher floors have a really stunning bridge view.

There's a lift, though it moves very slowly. The rooms are spacious for the price and have had a few updates. It's a really good location, with everything nearby within walking distance, plus air conditioning and free Wi-Fi.

I stayed two nights on the 7th floor. The bed was comfortable, and the room was clean and quiet. The location was good, and the friendly staff helped me catch the local bus to Vinh Long. The ticket cost 30k. There was air conditioning and a refrigerator.
