Tay Ho Hotel

We arrived without a reservation and got a room facing the back, with a window, for 350k dong a night. The bed was alright, and while the room looked a little old and paint was coming off the walls, that didn't bother us much. The air conditioning was quiet and worked well, and the room stayed quiet overnight. The shower had warm water, though the pressure was on the low side. Reception was friendly and helpful, booking us a transfer and a bus to ho chi minh with just 1.5 hours' notice.

The staff were friendly, and the location is great. A balcony room would be a plus, since most of the others are windowless, like prison cells. The bed was much too soft and bouncy for me, but manageable for two nights.

The rooms were spacious and really clean, with a balcony for watching people go by. Staff were very friendly and helpful, and the hotel is close to the river with a beautiful view and plenty of places to eat nearby. Especially nice for the price.

I've stayed here several times over the past 8 years, but I'm choosing somewhere else in Can Tho now. The location is good and the price is acceptable for what you get, and the rooms are kept pretty clean, though they haven't been updated since my first stay. It used to be a nice, cheap guesthouse with great staff. The current staff are surly and unhelpful, and not much English is spoken.
