TTC Hotel Can Tho

I loved the location right by the rivers, bridges, sights and night markets. The hotel was great, with friendly staff, and the breakfast team were especially helpful and cheerful. There was a great selection of food. The outdoor pool was a bit chilly, but that’s what you’d expect, and the rooftop balcony restaurant had a great view.

The room was decent, but at checkout, while we were having our last breakfast, a staff member showed us a photo of a stained towel from our room. Nobody knows how the slight blue stain got there, but they said it would cost 400.000 VND. Really? That’s almost half the room price.

The riverside location was great, and breakfast had plenty of food to choose from. My first evening was a rough start, though. I’d unpacked, showered, and was ready to sleep early before a Mekong tour when loud karaoke from the 8th floor kept me awake. Reception showed me a few rooms on lower floors, so I picked one and had to get dressed and repack everything to move. The receptionist was helpful, but the new room wasn’t as nice as the first, and I think I may have paid more for it. It was okay for just a couple of nights.

Breakfast was as good as ever, with lots of Vietnamese favorites and a solid range of continental options. The front desk team were welcoming, professional, helpful, and spoke perfect English. I was also upgraded to a river view suite without asking, which made me really happy, especially with that great nighttime view. The bed was extremely comfortable, the bathroom spotless, and the room had all the amenities I’d expect from a good hotel. The TV even had a personalized welcome screen with hotel information, a nice touch. I would have liked more movie choices, but I can’t fault TTC Can Tho.
