Amazing value for the price, and the location is great: on a quiet street but very close to the main street. This was one of the best hostels I’ve stayed in. The staff were welcoming and helped me with everything, always smiling. The kitchen was clean and well equipped, the bed was comfortable, and the bathroom was okay. Highly recommend!

The hostel is a bit outside the center, but a round trip with Grab costs 40k, so it wasn’t a big deal. I stayed four nights and had a great time, largely thanks to the two kind, helpful staff members, Huynh and Huy. They were so friendly and positive that I really grew to love the place. There’s a kitchen upstairs you can use freely, with free water and bananas. You can also borrow the bikes for three hours at no cost.

For the standard of the rooms and the clean, modern property, the price is a real bargain. It’s a Dutch-owned sort of homestay, with friendly service and fairly international standards. I stayed for a couple of weeks, and some of my favorite memories are evenings cooking in the full-size communal kitchen, then eating with the other housemates in the dining area or on the balcony terrace just off the kitchen.

Room quality varies, so comfort seems to depend on which one you get. Some doors are glass, and light comes into the room at night and disturbs your sleep. There was also a hole in my room. I had to ask the receptionist twice to move, and she said construction was underway at the time. They should have kept that room closed until the hole was fixed. There’s a lounge on the middle level where people smoke and make noise. It stinks every time you pass through. Still, it’s better than other low-tier hotels, but the rooms differ in quality.
