Minh Kim Guesthouse

I stayed here twice while visiting An Giang. On my first stay, I spent five days in the main room with a balcony, and they gave me a good rate with a discount for staying longer. They also provided a motorbike so I could explore on my own. The hotel has an elevator and the service is good; they cleaned my room and changed the towel and bed cover. There were a couple of problems in that room: the key didn’t always work properly, and the WiFi connection wasn’t strong enough. My second stay was really nice too. It’s about a five-minute walk from the bus station, and you can book through Traveloka or directly with reception. All in all, I highly recommend this place.

The receptionists were available whenever I needed them, and the price was good. The room itself wasn’t great: the door was broken and wouldn’t shut properly unless I used the key. It’s about 25-30 minutes from the city centre. Still, it’s cheap and fine for a night or two.

We booked a connecting room for two nights as a group of five. It was clean, well aired, and had two windows and two bathrooms. There’s a large car park, and the hotel seems quite new. Minh Kim may be a small hotel, but the service felt five-star. The owner and family were very friendly, sincere, and helpful, and the price was very reasonable. The service went beyond what we expected. Highly recommend!

One of my favourite places in Chau Doc. It’s good quality for little money, with friendly staff, a lift, hot water, WiFi, and good flat-screen TVs. There’s a large covered parking area, and it’s easy to cook a meal in the lounge.
