I wouldn’t stay here again. Something in the hotel made my eyes and skin itch, and I couldn’t sleep well. The first room had a serious black mold problem, so I asked to move. I’ve traveled all over Southeast Asia and never had this kind of reaction at another hotel or homestay. I noticed they were painting rooms on some floors, probably to get rid of the black mold. There’s no AC in the rooms, which may add to the mold spreading since they can get stuffy without proper ventilation. It’s a shame, because the hotel must have been beautiful at some point. I was on a tour and had no say in where I was staying in Da Lat. The location is great, close to the Night market, so that’s why I’m giving it three stars.

The location was the best part for me, with local food all along the same street. The room and bathroom were clean, and I liked the firm bed and pillow. The breakfast buffet was good too.

The staff at breakfast were friendly and helpful, and our group especially liked the French loaf. We made our own banh mi each morning. Minh helped us out many times, and Mrs Thuy arranged tours and private transport. We stayed four nights. The location was okay, and it was easy to get a Grab anywhere from the hotel. Dalat is hilly, so the long, uneven walk to the night market was tough for the seniors in our group. There’s no aircon, so we had to leave the windows open and bugs got into the room.
