I had a genuinely good stay, and the decor felt like what you’d find at a good Marriott hotel. There were a couple of downsides: no heater in winter, or at least I couldn’t find one, and sometimes reception staff were away. If you don’t have a Vietnamese phone number, there’s no way to contact them then.

The shower doesn’t drain properly, and the price feels high for the service. There’s no coffee at breakfast, while the restaurant and bar are closed apart from breakfast. The staff were matter-of-fact, not mean, but very much had an “it is what it is” attitude. One server mentioned there are many coffee shops a short walk from the hotel.

Breakfast came with a view. The outlet was amazing, and even though the bistro staff were few, they were truly attentive. Quang and Tuyen deserve a mention by name.

A wonderful place to stay, with kind and enthusiastic staff. The location is convenient too, close to the market.
